Product Description

This is a long vessel carved from horse chestnut wood. The chisel marks are left on the surface, which has been finished with lacquer.
The black circle in the middle is the hole that was filled in with lacquer paste.
This is a Tochigi ware with a spalted finish. The color is subdued, but the chisel marks are glossy and the ware is pleasant to the touch.

This product is made of chestnut wood with a wiped lacquer finish, giving it a hard finish while preserving its natural texture.
