Product Description

This is a simple circular base made from Yakusugi cedar oil burrs. It has been cut into a circle, leaving the bark and saw marks intact. The burrs have been soaked in lacquer to harden them.
A subdued lacquer is used to create a calm color that resembles floating black smoke.

Handling Instructions

Finished with wiped lacquer.
Please use it for dry food as tableware.
When washing with water, refrain from using scrubbing brushes, etc. After hand washing, wipe with a damp cloth and let it dry naturally.
Avoid immersing it in water.
The color and texture will change over time.
