This wooden vessel makes use of the bark of Yakusugi cedar trees. The material is Yakusugi cedar. The bark surface has been polished and then finished with a coat of black lacquer. The polishing and lacquering process is repeated multiple times to create a contrast. A clear glass paint is applied as a finishing touch to increase water resistance and strength.
